I first worked with Kevin in 2005, on a strenuous and four-year effort to save the historic Pantages Theatre. From first to last he was present, helpful, direct, thoughtful and analytic, strong and centred. Kevin was essential.
He wrote, edited, and/or released all of our material. His work was superb. Kevin organized, presenting the likes of Dal Richards, Christopher Gaze, Joy Coghill, Dalannah Gail Bowen, Vancouver Cantonese Opera – and more – what proved to be the last show ever mounted at that venerable theatre. It was a most moving occasion.
Ultimately, the project failed. But Kevin did not. He was energy and inspiration, skill and hope. You will be lucky to get him. We were.
